An American Alliteration

M. Fennell

One thousand dollars carefully saved
Two wonderful youngsters honorably raised
Three dozen neighbors visit our home
Four bedrooms of memories styled from stone

Five foreign travelers have broadened our views
Six parties each Christmas from which we may choose
In town, seven young girls fight for a cause they believe
Eight leaders of business donate to those in great need

Nine miles of nature, softly I walk through the trees
Ten new romances budding, paying scant notice of me
I saw eleven strong men never restraining their love
Each day I await dozens such miracles sent from above
